What to Expect During Rhinoplasty

Before your Rhinoplasty surgery, you will meet with the expert, Dr. Goldman, for your Rhinoplasty consultation. This visit is to discuss various factors regarding the surgical nose job. Dr. Goldman will assess your nasal concerns and determine if a Rhinoplasty procedure is good for you based on your needs, medical history, physical exam, and nose job expectations. If Dr. Goldman determines this surgery is correct, your surgery will be scheduled.

Each Rhinoplasty surgery is customized to fit the person’s unique needs based on their anatomy and aesthetic goals. Rhinoplasty can be done through different surgical approaches, including cartilage, bone, or soft tissue manipulation. It may all be done inside the nose or through an external cut between the nostrils at the narrowest part.

In addition to correcting cosmetic issues, Rhinoplasty can correct a deviated septum when the wall between the two sides of the nose is bent or misshapen. Often, this causes problems with nasal functions in terms of breathing. During Rhinoplasty, the wall can be manipulated straight to make breathing easier.
